高等教育对区域先进制造业发展的影响——基于地级以上市面板数据的实证分析

Impact of higher education on development of regional advanced manufacturing:an empirical study based on panel data of prefecture level cities

在增长回归框架下,基于中国地级以上城市层面数据,采用动态面板数据分析方法(SYS-GMM估计)考察高等教育对先进制造业发展的影响。结果表明,城市高等教育规模扩张显著促进了区域先进制造业的发展;在替换被解释变量和核心解释变量后,该促进作用仍然十分稳健。此外,高等教育对先进制造业的影响存在显著的地区异质性,在大城市和中西部城市高等教育对先进制造业发展的推动作用更大。应以建设高质量教育体系为统领,持续加大高等教育投入,切实提升大城市高等教育质量,不断优化高等教育资源的区域布局,推动高等教育发展以使其更好地适应制造强国战略需求。

Within the framework of growth regression,based on the panel data of prefecture level cities in China,this paper uses the dynamic panel data analysis method(SYS-GMM estimation)to investigate the impact of higher education on the development of advanced manufacturing industry.The empirical results show that the expansion of urban higher education has significantly promoted the development of regional advanced manufacturing industry;and that after replacing the measurement methods of the explained variable and the core explanatory variable,the result is still very robust.Furthermore,there is significant regional heterogeneity in the impact of higher education on advanced manufacturing.In large cities and central and western cities,higher education plays a greater role in promoting the development of advanced manufacturing industry.With the guidance of building a high-quality education system,the government should continue to increase investment in higher education,effectively improve the quality of higher education in big cities,continuously optimize the regional layout of higher education resources,and promote the development of higher education to ensure that the higher education meets the needs of manufacturing power strategy.
