British Literature midst Changes in the Idea of Culture is the product,in the form of a book series,of a major project sponsored by the National Social Sciences Foundation.As a new approach to foreign literature research,it aims to promote the development of the Chinese culture by responding to the disconnection between the study of literary classics and the study of cultural ideas.This interview centers around the main arguments of the book series.In the interview,Professor Yin Qiping accounts for the research background of the book series,and his views on the gestation and development of cultural concepts.In addition,he explains the research purpose,the difficulties involved,the innovative and core ideas of this book series.
