“油滑”是《故事新编》中的重要存在。它是《补天》创作时的一个偶然,却被鲁迅视为“创作的大敌”。鲁迅在创作《铸剑》时对其进行了规避,而在《奔月》中则对其进行了顺应。上海时期,生活的异质混搭、体验的悲喜悖谬,让“油滑”成了创作的需要。同时,鲁迅通过对现实批判的强化和文化内涵的赋值,让“油滑”获得了“存在的余地”。

“Slickness”is an important element in Old Tales Retold.It was an accidental element in the creation of Patching up the Sky,but Lu Xun regarded it as the“great enemy of creation”.Lu Xun evaded it when he wrote Casting Sword,but complied with it in Running to the Moon.During the Shanghai period,“Slickness”became a creative necessity due to the complexity of life and the paradoxical sadness and joy of experience.At the same time,Lu Xun gave it“space to exist”through the intensification of realistic criticism and the assignment of cultural connotation.
