Research on the Important Role of Cultural Factors in the Translation of German Literary Works

在文学作品翻译中,译者须对尽可能多的因素进行权衡把握,才可能使原文“传神”地呈现在目标语读者面前。反之,则可能使读者陷入语义困惑。该文选取了一些德语文学作品及其翻译作为例子进行比较分析,由此得出:为了保证翻译的准确性和恰当性就必须要在翻译理解和表达的过程中把文字放在它所存在的环境和背景中加以考虑,在目标语读者中尽可能达到等值翻译的效果。

In the translation of literary works,translators should balance and grasp as many factors as possible,so that the original text can be presented vividly to the target language readers.On the contrary,it may make the readers confused.This paper selects some German literary works and their translation as examples for comparative analysis.It is concluded that in order to ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of translation,it is necessary to consider the text in its existing environment and background in the process of translation understanding and expression,so as to achieve equivalent translation effect among target language readers.
