《边城》与《德伯家的苔丝》女主人公爱情悲剧比较研究

The Comparative Study of the Love Tragedies of the Heroines in"Border Town"and"Tess of the D'Urbervilles"

沈从文的《边城》与托马斯·哈代的《德伯家的苔丝》在展现主人公的悲剧命运以及对悲剧的理解上都有相类似的情节。这两部不同文化背景和时代背景下的作品,却都以同情的心理描写女性的悲剧命运。《边城》女主人公翠翠和《德伯家的苔丝》女主人公苔丝出身贫穷却具有自然之美。分别爱上了出身富裕又有良好教养,为人善良、有情有义的傩送和安玑·克莱。文章从中西文化比较的视角出发,运用比较文学研究方法中的平行研究方法分析这两部作品的女主人公对待爱情的态度以及其中对较深层次的原因进行剖析、比较。

The Border Town by Shen Congwen and Tess of the D'Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy have similar plot in showing the tragic fate of the protagonist to display the elements of tragedy.Both of them described the unfortunate fate of women with sympathy but in different cultural backgrounds and ages.The heroine Tsuittsui in the Border Town and the heroine Tess in Tess of the D'Urbervilles,were born poor but with natural beauty,Tsuitsui falling in love with Song Luo,and Tess with Anji Kelai,both heroes born rich and well-educated,kind and affectionate.From the perspective of the comparison between Chinese and Western culture,this paper adopts the parallel research method of comparative literature to analyze the heroines'attitudes towards love and the deeper reasons in these two works.
