Helsinki is known as the world’s leading example of urban digitization.This paper analyses the background of Helsinki’s digitization and how the application of digital methods promotes its economy,urban management and municipal service.The paper draws on the Helsinki’s digitization experience to illustrate the implications for China’ s urban digitization,with regard to urban planning,data sharing,information security,social participation and cooperation,as well as sustainable development.
