青海、甘肃地区替代性艺术空间的发展初探

Exploration on the Development of Alternative Art Space in Qinghai and Gansu

替代性(Alternative)艺术空间之替代性是基于当代艺术的语境而言,它是指非营利或独立机构针对当代艺术系统中运行机制的缺失而作出的补足和回应。至今经历20多年的发展在各地都有涌现,多集中在北京、上海、广州等经济发达、国际化程度较深的城市,逐渐扩展到重庆、成都、东莞、武汉等经济较发达地区。以青海和甘肃(以下简称“青、甘”)为例,2015年先后出现了PAS像素空间(西宁)、西宁当代(西宁)、立方体艺术馆(庆阳)等多个立足本土当代艺术性质的替代性空间。从2016年至今这些机构在保持相应的独立立场的同时,积极介入本土艺术生态,从展览、艺术项目到公共教育性质的讲座、放映都做了丰富的拓展工作。该文选取这3个机构作为初步研究的对象,希望可以为正在行进中的青海、甘肃地区的当代艺术研究提供更具时效性的视角。

The substitution of Alternative art space is based on the context of contemporary art.It refers to the complement and response made by non-profit or independent institutions to the lack of operating mechanism in the contemporary art system.Over the past 20 years,the development has emerged in many places,mostly concentrated in Beijing,Shanghai,Guangzhou and other economically developed cities with a deep degree of internationalization,and gradually expanded to Chongqing,Chengdu,Dongguan,Wuhan and other economically developed areas.In Qinghai and Gansu,for example,in 2015,a number of alternative Spaces,such as PAS pixel space(Xining),Xining Contemporary Space(Xining)and Cube Art Museum(Qingyang),were created based on the local contemporary artistic quality.Since 2016,these institutions have been actively involved in the local art ecology while maintaining corresponding independent positions.They have made extensive expansion work from exhibitions and art projects to public educational lectures and screenings.This paper selects these three institutions as the objects of preliminary research,hoping to provide a timelier perspective for the ongoing contemporary art research in Qinghai and Gansu.
