Sculpture is a kind of visual art, and it is also a three-dimensional art. It plays an important role in inheriting history and culture while satisfying people’s visual aesthetic and cultural needs. Sculpture reflects the cultural characteristics and aesthetic state of the times in a static image, and expresses the author’s aesthetic interests, feelings and ideals. Sculpture language is the soul of a sculpture. This paper classifies and summarizes the evolution and expansion of artistic expression forms of China’s traditional sculpture language in the contemporary context.
