A New Interpretation of Chinese Legal System

中华法系是中华民族探索自我治理的重大成果,为人类法治文明作出了重大贡献。应当从过去的历史传统、当下的法治实践、未来的发展方向三个维度来把握其丰富内涵。遵循中国法治发展进程中循常不变的逻辑,中国式法治现代化是中华法系的新阶段,是中国式现代化在法治领域的具体体现。中国共产党领导中国人民艰辛探索,立足中国特色社会主义法治实践,赓续中华优秀传统法律文化,吸收借鉴世界上的优秀法治文明成果,成功走出了一条适合中华民族的法治现代化正确道路。习近平法治思想顺应实现中华民族伟大复兴的时代要求,深刻认识和把握治国理政基本规律、社会主义法治建设规律和人类法治文明发展规律,从历史和现实相贯通、国际和国内相关联、理论和实际相结合上赋予中华法系新内涵。具有中国特色和世界意义的中华法系必将回到世界法治发展的舞台中央。中华法系的新阶段将迎来中华法治文明复兴,中国式法治现代化将推进中华民族伟大复兴。

Chinese legal system, a major achievement of the exploration of self-governance of Chinese nation, greatly contributes to the human civilization of the rule of law, whose rich connotation should be grasped from three dimensions: the historical tradition of the past, the present practice of the rule of law, and the future direction of development. Following the constant logic of the historical process of the rule of law in China, the modernization of the Chinese rule of law is a new stage of Chinese legal system and a concrete embodiment of Chinese modernization in the field of the rule of law. The Communist Party of China has led people to make arduous explorations, based on the practice of socialist rule of law with Chinese characteristics, continuing Chinese excellent traditional legal culture and absorbing the great achievement of civilization of the rule of law in the world, and successfully stepped out a correct path of rule of law modernization suitable for the Chinese nation. Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law, responding to the requirements of the times to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, deeply understands and grasps the basic law of governance, the law of construction of socialist rule of law, and the law of development of human civilization of the rule of law, and gives a new connotation to the Chinese legal system in terms of coherence between history and reality, correlation between international and domestic, and the combination of theory and practice.
