Introduction Hong Kong's criminal justice system plays a pivotal role in maintaining the social order by ensuring that crimes are effectivelydetected and investigated,and criminal cases arehandled impartially and efficiently while protecting the rights of all parties involved in the process.As there have been groundless criticisms against our criminal justice system,I would like to take this opportunity to reaffirm the sound and stable criminal justice system in Hong Kong.
