Understanding the “New Humanities and Social Sciences”:A Knowledge Project That Concerns the Official and the Folk

新文科建设与“构建中国特色哲学社会科学学科体系、学术体系、话语体系”的规划息息相关,它既是政府部署的学科改革政策,也是人文社科研究工作者寻求安身立命之所的应有之义.作为一项关乎官方与民间的知识工程,新文科建设试图解决传统文科既存的学科、学术、话语诸问题,为“大变动时代的人文学术”提出未来发展的路径.新文科的发展及其研讨要抛弃“新旧之争”思维,转而以“问题意识”为要义,以开放学科体系的重塑为路径.新文科之所谓“新”,其要义在于将蕴藏于“旧”之内在价值挖潜出来,打破固有的壁垒,以通达的心态和开放的思维推动其体系的塑造.只有抛弃“新旧之争”,以“问题意识”为导向,坚持“国际化”“体系化”与“交叉化”的发展思路,官方与民间学界互济共识,在磨合中弥合,才能打造更为稳固的学科底盘,塑造出我们称之为“新”的文科体系.

The development of new humanities and social sciences is closely bound up with“building a discipline system,academic system and discourse system of philosophy and social sciences with Chinese characteristics.”It is not only a discipline reform policy made by the government,but also the due task for humanities and social sciences researchers to seek academic progress.In the development of new humanities and social sciences,a knowledge project related to the official and the folk,we try to address the existing problems in disciplines,academics,and discourses of the traditional liberal arts,and propose a path for the development of the“humanities research in times of great changes.”In this paper,the author proposes that we should abandon the rigid mindset of“the old vs the new conflict.”Instead,we should be“problem-oriented”and take the path of reshaping the open discipline system.The essence of the so-called“new”in new humanities and social sciences is to detect the hidden values in the“old”,break down the inherent barriers and reshaping the system with an open mind.Only by abandoning“the old vs the new conflict”mindset,following the“problem-oriented”approach,adhering to the development ideas of“being global”,“being systematic”and“being interdisciplinary”,and reaching a consensus between the official and the folk academia,can we lay a more solid disciplinary foundation for what we call the“new”liberal arts system.
