The component Mi(糸)is based on a thin wire, and because it is difficult to identify,it is presented in the form of a tow.It has different forms of traditional and abbreviated writing in oracle bone inscriptions. Some of the meaning information conveyed is vivid and some are abstract, and they all have obvious relevance or similarity with silk threads. When Chinese characters are created, people often choose typical things as representatives of a class of things,or use their typical characteristics to indicate a certain state or attribute. When some abstract or distant extended meanings are also very common, there are often subtle adjustments in the form for proper distinction. In the evolution of the font, although the shape has changed greatly, the core elements have been well preserved.
