At an abandoned mine pit in the Tonglv Mountain Copper Mine,Chen Jun,a veteran miner,descended 245 meters underground as usual to begin his work of the day.However,he is no longer a miner but a modern agricultural worker dealing with equipment.Around him are plates of lettuces placed on three-layered soilless shelves with pipes to supply water and fertilizers.More than two meters above the floor,all the vegetables are growing well.
