Sister cities seal friendship with gift of Chu-style garden When Wuhan and Duisburg became sister cities in 1982,Wuhan people prepared a git-Yingqu Garden-for their German friends.Its name lludess to Ying Cty,capital of Chu State in the Warring States peniod.It was first built in Wuhan Zoo in 1985 by Jdiang Donghua and his cllagues from the Wuhan Garden Construction Engineering Group.The garden was a Chinese traditlonal one of mortlse and tenon structure.Upon completon,It was disassembled,packed up,and shipped to Germany by sea.
