Wuhan Botanical Garden's giant waterlilies in bloom

Over a dozen giant waterlilies in the Wuhan Botanical Garden are in bloom and have entered their best viewingperiod.The giant waterlily is the largest of the aquatic flowering plants in terms of leaf size.There are more than 30 of them in the garden,and the leaves are generally about 1.5 to 1.7 meters in diameter.The flowering period of.a single flower of the giant waterlily is only three days.Usually,it blooms in the early evening(about 5 p.m.)and closes early the next morning(8 a.m.to 9 a.m.),with the color changing a remarkable three times in three days.
