摘要
“Dr.Lakra”乍一听来像是B级片里的疯狂科学家。然而对于墨西哥当代文身艺术家Jeronimo Lopez Ramirez来说,这个名字却有另一番意义。因为他常常用一只医生包背着自己的文身工具,所以被朋友们称为“Dr”。“Lakra”源于西班牙语“lacra”,表示“疤痕”,又一说是代表“废物”的俚语。最终,二者结合,便有了这个“艺名”——Dr.Lakra。
VisioN:What are you currently working on?Lakra:I am working mainly in 3big projects.The first one is a showI am opening on May 26th in kurimanzutto gallery.It is drawings sumi e style and some collageI did with chromolithographs of scientist,then in a more long term I'm working in two documentaries,one about the tradition of tattoo in Japan and the second about the punk rock movement in Mexico City in the last century.VisioN:You said you always go to public libraries when you travel.Did you get your inspiration mostly from books?
