Sun Baodi,a member of the Hanyang Sifangtai detachment of theWuhanYangtzeRiverRescue VolunteerTeam,recently saved a drowning woman in the Han River.At about 6 a.m.on April 18,the 69-year-old lady was about to take a morning swim in the river when she heard a cry:"someone just jumped into the river!"After determining the position of the drowning woman,Sun grabbed a fishing rod and swam quickly to her,a Miss Xiang.Sun dragged her to the shore as they held both ends of the rod.
