The number of Wuhan's permanent residents reached 13.6489 million in 2021,marking an increase of 1.2012 million,or 9.7 percent,over 2020,the fastest growth in China,announced the Wuhan Municipal Bureau of Statistics on April 7.According to the bureau's Human Resources and Social Security Department,the total permanent resident population of Wuhan has hit a record high.Since 2011 when it reached 10 million permanent residents,Wuhan's population has continued to rise steadily,with an annual increase of 70,000 to 300,000 people|.
