Patriotism is a moral requirement,political principle and legal norm regulating the relationship between individuals and their motherland,which is closely related to the social system and the nature of the country,and also has different attributes and requirements depending on the differences in the nature of political parties and interest groups.The CPC is a proletarian party guided by Marxism,and a patriotic party that holds high the banner of patriotism and practices the mission of patriotism.The century-long history of the struggle of the CPC is a magnificent poem of the Party leading the Chinese people to save,build,enrich and strengthen the country.The patriotism of the CPC has undergone the development process from new democracy to socialism,from socialism to socialism with Chinese characteristics,and into socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.The theme of the CPC’s patriotism in the past century is to adhere to the nature and direction of socialism,and the essential feature is the high degree of unity of patriotism and love for the Party and socialism.The historical experience is that without the CPC there would be no new China,only socialism can save China,only socialism can develop China,and only socialism with Chinese characteristics can build a strong modern socialist country.
