西北联大学术期刊的创办与发展经历了西安临大时期、西北联合大学时期、五校分立合作和三校一院回迁复校时期。由于战事紧张、物资紧缺、资金不足等原因,各校所创立的学术期刊大多发行时间较短或断续发行。西北联大学术期刊多侧重于宣传抗战救国思想、发表师生的学术研究成果、报道校内外重要事件、发布校纪校规等,在抗战时期承担了保存和传承优秀学术成果、启迪民智、教育莘莘学子的重要任务。西北联大学术期刊丰富了抗战时期高校教育的内容,保存并传扬了战时西北联大学人的行迹和著述,记录了西北联大的成立和在不同时期的发展历程、各校的教学科研情况及相关政策法规、师生们的爱国活动和顽强不屈的斗争等,对当时的生产生活有实际指导意义,也留下了很多重要史料,在中国高校发展史、学术期刊史上具有特殊价值。

The establishment and development of academic journals in Northwest Associated University period has gone through the period of Xi'an Temporary University,Northwest Associated University,the separation and cooperation of five universities,and the relocation of three universities and one college.Due to the war,material shortage,and insufficient funds,most of the academic journals published by each university have a short or intermittent distribution.The academic journals of Northwest Associated University mostly focus on publicizing the idea of saving the nation during the Anti-Japanese War,publishing academic achievement,reporting important events inside and outside the school,and issuing school discipline and regulations.The academic journals of Northwest Associated University has undertaken many tasks during the Anti-Japanese War,including preserving and spreading of excellent academic achievement,inspiring people's wisdom and educating all students.It has enriched the college education during the Anti-Japanese War,preserved and spread the faculty's deeds and writings,and recorded the establishment and development of Northwest Associated University in different periods,the teaching and scientific research of each university and related policies and regulations,as well as the patriotic activities and indomitable struggles of teachers and students.It has practical guiding significance for the production and living at that time,and also left a lot of important historical materials,which are of special value in the history of Chinese universities and academic journals.
