On July 12,2012,24-year-old Ma Qinghuadrove theHispania Racing Team's(HRT)F112 car during the young driver test at Silverstone,home of the Formula 1 British Grand Prix.In the stands,13-year-old Zhou Guanyu watched from the edge of his seat.Ma joined HRT's Formula 1 driver development program in April that year.
