On Labor Education for College Students in the New Era

劳动是推动人类进步的根本力量,是促进学生全面发展的重要手段。劳动教育要从三个方面入手:一要引导学生树立劳动最光荣、劳动最崇高、劳动最伟大、劳动最美丽的劳动观念,正确处理好劳动与幸福、劳动与职业、劳动与成才的关系;二要营造崇尚劳动的劳动氛围,发挥文化育人的巨大作用;三要倡导积极的劳动方式,形成辛勤劳动、诚实劳动、创造性劳动的劳动理念。

Labor is the fundamental force that drives human civilization. It is also an important means for students’ all-round development. To strengthen students’ labor education,colleges and universities must make endeavors in three directions. First,they must help students realize that labor is the most glorious,most noble and most beautiful thing in the world and it is very important to see how labor relates to happiness,profession and talent cultivation. Second,they must create a favorable environment where labor is encouraged by campus culture. Third,they must advocate wholesome forms of labor and emphasize the value of hard work,honesty and creativity.
