摘要
随着古代笺纸文化的普及,这种小巧可人、风格迥异的纸张所蕴含的艺术价值、技术价值和文献价值也逐渐凸显了出来。花笺纸的印制可视为中国印刷史的片段之一。本文通过对相关历史文献加以整理,回顾加工纸及花笺的发展历程,由“砑”这种加工方式切入,探究其背后的工艺原理、具体形态、使用特性等,并与台北故宫博物院公布的宋代花笺相关资料,自身雕版印刷制作经验及笺纸实物收藏相结合,以期尽可能地还原砑花工艺在早期笺纸加工中的应用。
As antique-style letter paper became popular,people gradually recognized the artistic,technical and documentary values contained in the little pieces of paper that bear decorative patterns in a wide variety of styles.Calendered letter paper with decorative patterns was widespread for some time in Chinese printing history.This research paper examines ancient texts related to this topic to present how processed paper,decorated letter paper in particular,evolved over time.Focusing on the technique of ya(calendering),it explores the basic principles and formats of this technique and the specific characteristics it presents in use.In addition,reference is also drawn from information on Song-Dynasty decorated paper released by Taipei Palace Museum,as well as the authors’collection of related items and experience in woodblock printing,to describe in as much detail as possible the calendering technique used in the early days of letter paper processing.
