柳溥庆与《标准习字帖》的书法传播--一个新中国书法出版史视角中的编辑与印刷案例

Liu Puqing and the Spread of Calligraphy with Standard Calligraphy Copybook--A Case Study of Editing and Printing in the Light of the History of Calligraphy Publishing of New China

在中国古代,刻书与刻帖几乎是随着雕版印刷技术的成熟同时发展起来的两种物质文化形态,在某种意义上,古代的刻帖从属于今天的“美术出版”,是出版史的重要组成部分,对此,在书法史、出版史等领域已有诸多研究。与此同时,19世纪后半叶以降,随着现代出版、机械印刷、摄影技术的传入,无论是书籍出版还是书法出版面貌都发生了范式性的转变,但相对于古代的刻帖和现代的编辑出版史而言,学界对新式书法出版的形态及其对书法史、出版史、印刷史所带来的影响的相关研究还远远不够。尤其是对重要出版机构、出版人和书法类丛书、书籍出版的案例研究还存在着诸多空白。在本文中,笔者即对书法史上长期以来忽视的我国著名印刷出版专家柳溥庆及其编著的《标准习字帖》丛书个案展开初步研究。

In ancient China,books and copybooks are two tangible forms of culture developed almost simultaneously with the maturity of the block printing technique;in a sense,the ancient copybooks fall under today’s"art publishing"and are an important part of the history of publishing,which has been studied in many fields such as the history of calligraphy and the history of publishing.Moreover,since the second half of the 19th century,with the introduction of modern Western publishing,printing and photography technologies to the east,the landscape of both book publishing and calligraphy publishing underwent a paradigm shift.However,compared to ancient calligraphy copybook publishing and modern history of editing and publishing,academic research on the new form of calligraphy publishing and its implications for the histories of calligraphy,publishing and printing is still far from enough.In particular,there are many gaps in the research on important publishing institutions,publishers,and case studies of the publication of calligraphic series and books.In this paper,the author conducts a preliminary study on the case of Liu Puqing,a famous printing and publishing expert in China who has long been neglected in the history of calligraphy,and the Standard Calligraphy Copybook series compiled by him and published by Beijing Publishing House.
