A Discussion on the Cultural Construction through a Chinese Path to Modernization

当代中国的文化建设是“中国式现代化”的重要组成部分,我们不但需要深入思考“文化何为”“文化如何为”,更需要深入思考“中国式现代化”对于文化建设来说意味着什么。华东师范大学教授齐卫平提出“文化立国是中华民族的历史传统和经验结晶”;中共浙江省委党校副校长陈立旭提出“越走近世界舞台中央,越需要塑造既开放自信也谦逊谦和的中国形象,越需要让全世界都能听到并听清中国声音,越需要不断提升国家文化软实力和中华文化影响力”;《社会科学报》社长段钢提出“这一模式全面兼顾了国内国际发展大计,超越了文明形态、意识形态差异,将两者统一到以中国式现代化全面推进中华民族伟大复兴的宏伟蓝图中”;中共上海市委党校副教授汪仲启提出“现代化意味着‘更新’的社会形态的产生过程。既然时间上‘更新’的东西就可以被认为是‘更现代’的东西,那么,从这个意义上看现代化就是没有止境的”。

The Cultural construction of contemporary China is a significant part of the Chinese path to modernization.We have to think deeply not only about"what culture is"and"what culture does"but also about what"a Chinese path to modernization"means to cultural construction.Qi Weiping proposes that seeing culture as a pillar of the nation is a Chinese tradition and a valuable experience.Chen Lixu proposes shaping an open and confident while humble and modest national image as China approaches the center of the world stage and enhancing the national cultural soft power and the Chinese cultural influence to make the Chinese voice heard and understood.Duan Gang suggests that the Chinese path to modernization is a model that takes account of the domestic and international development of China,surpasses the differences in civilizations and ideologies,and integrates them into advancing the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation on all fronts through a Chinese path to modernization.Wang Zhongqi suggests that since modernization means a more"updated"form of society,its process,or updating the society to a newer version,is endless.
