Through the in-depth research and analysis of the writing command timing,internal display address and character generation memory of the commonly used character type LCD1602,this paper reveals the internal working principle of LCD1602,summarizes the steps of LCD1602 displaying characters,writes codes according to the display steps,and simulates the function of LCD displaying characters on Proteus software.It lays a solid foundation for the later research of Chinese character display and graphic display LCD screen.
