在金贝尔美术馆设计中,路易斯·康以“拱壳梁”单元阵列的几何强关联性阐释“秩序”。美术馆室内标高12英尺6英寸位置的一系列檐口细部操作,通过“原型”“典型”“变型”三个逐级演进的概念,实现在单元交界处建筑学和工程学的相互成就。
In the design of the Kimbel Art Museum, "order" is explained by Louis Isadore Kahn with the "arch shell beam" unit array of high geometric correlation. The progressive concepts of "prototype", "model" and "modification" are adopted for cornice details at an indoor elevation of 12 feet and 6 inches in the art museum so as to achieve architectural and engineering perfection at the junction of units.
