Effect of Ambidextrous Entrepreneurial Improvisation on the New Venture Performance of Technological New Ventures

即兴行为在给新创企业带来先发优势的同时,也可能造成机会陷阱。依据组织双元理论,将探索式创业即兴和开发式创业即兴视为一个协调的整体,构建了双元创业即兴、创业行动学习、集体效能感和创业绩效的关系模型。对我国东部地区的197家科技新创企业的实证研究表明:双元创业即兴正向预测创业绩效;创业行动学习在二者之间起部分中介作用;集体效能感分别正向调节双元创业即兴与创业行动学习和创业绩效的关系,并进一步调节创业行动学习在双元创业即兴与创业绩效间的中介效应。

Based on the organizational duality theory,the exploratory entrepreneurial improvisation and the developmental entrepreneurial improvisation are regarded as a coordinated whole,and the relationship model of ambidextrous entrepreneurial improvisation,entrepreneurial action learning,collective efficacy and entrepreneurial performance is constructed.Through the empirical analysis of the questionnaire data of 197 high-tech new ventures in Eastern China,the results show that:ambidextrous entrepreneurial improvisation positively predicts entrepreneurial performance;Entrepreneurial action learning plays a part of the mediating role between the two;Collective efficacy respectively positively regulates the relationship between ambidextrous entrepreneurial improvisation and entrepreneurial action learning and entrepreneurial performance,and further regulates entrepreneurial action learning,the mediating effect between ambidextrous entrepreneurial improvisation and entrepreneurial performance.The research findings have important guiding significance for high-tech start-ups to exert ambidextrous improvisational effectiveness and promote the rapid growth of their teams.
