Role of interleukin-22 in airway remodeling of asthma:A review of recent studies

白细胞介素-22(interleukin-22,IL-22),由CD4+T细胞亚群产生,具有宿主防御和保护上皮的功能。IL-22是一种促炎细胞因子,在哮喘气道炎症中发挥重要作用。同时,IL-22可加剧上皮下纤维化、促进上皮间质转化(EMT)、黏液分泌增加、气道平滑肌增生和肥大,从而加重哮喘的气道重塑。IL-22作为一种促炎和促纤维因子,在哮喘的气道重塑中的具体机制目前尚不明确,本文就IL-22在哮喘气道重塑中的作用展开综述。

Interleukin-22(IL-22),produced by the CD4+T cell subpopulation,plays a role in host defense and epithelial protection.As a pro-inflammatory cytokine,IL-22 plays an important role in airway inflammation in asthma.Meanwhile,IL-22 can aggravate subepithelial fibrosis,promote EMT,increase mucus secretion,and hyperplasia and hypertrophy of airway smooth muscle,thus aggravating airway remodeling in asthma.As a pro-inflammatory and pro-fibrogenic factor,the specific mechanism of IL-22 in airway remodeling in asthma is still unclear.This article reviews the role of IL-22 in airway remodeling in asthma.
