Shoushan stone carving is a traditional Chinese handmade art with a long history. It has multiple artistic charms.Since the Southern Song Dynasty, carvers have used Shoushan stone for carving, and with the continuous progress of technology, a special Shoushan stone carving industry has been formed. Shoushan stone carving is popular for its exquisite carving technology and colorful artistic shapes. In this paper, the multiple artistic charms of Shoushan stone carving art will be shown from three dimensions: the development history, shape design characteristics and aesthetic value of Shoushan stone carving.
