Engels's Contribution to the Marxist Concept of Social Development in His Later Years

恩格斯晚年是指从1870—1895年这一段时间。19世纪70年代以后恩格斯不仅投入无产阶级革命运动,而且在马克思主义理论研究方面做出了重要贡献。恩格斯晚年通过阐释、传播、总结马克思的思想推进了马克思主义社会发展观的大众化,在与经济决定论、机会主义的斗争中捍卫了马克思主义社会发展观,同时继承和发展了马克思主义社会发展整体论、社会发展方法论、社会发展价值论。

Late Engels means the period from 1870 to 1895.In the 1870's Engels was not only engaged into the proletarian revolutionary but also made important contribution to the study of Marxism Theory.In his later years Engels had promoted the popularization of Karl Marx's View of Social Development through interpretation,spreading,and summarizing the theory of Marxism.During the fighting with the Economic Determinism and Opportunism he protected Marx's View of Social Development.At the same time he inherited and developed Marx's theory of Social Holism,Methodology of Social Development,and Social Development Axiology.
