On the Inheritance and Development of Fanli’s Thought in The Four Classics of the Yellow Emperor

《黄帝四经》是黄老之学的重要著作,继承了范蠡“天时”“盈溢”“德”的思想,所提出的“民时”“否定盈”“先德后刑”“刑德对立”等是对范蠡思想的进一步发展,使前期道家思想更加系统。

The Four Classics of the Yellow Emperor(Huang Di Si Jing) is an important work of learning about the Emperor Huang and Lao Tzu. It inherits Fan Li’s thought of “the order of nature”, “overflowing” and “virtue” and puts forward the thought of “farming season”, “denial of overflowing”, “benevolent rule before punishment” and “the opposition between benevolent rule and punishment”, which is the further development of Fan Li’s thought and makes the early Taoist thought more systematic.
