The Theoretical Origin and Practical Logic of the Thought of “People First”Based on the Understanding of the Spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee

党的十九届六中全会明确指出,要始终秉承“人民至上”的执政理念。探究“人民至上”思想的理论渊源,是对传统民本思想的承接和超越;对马克思主义实践人学理论的继承和发展,是对“以人为本”思想与时俱进的发展。从实践逻辑看,贯彻“人民至上”,巩固中国共产党的执政基础;践行“人民至上”,提升中国共产党执政能力和国家治理水平;落实“人民至上”,为人民提供泽惠的保障。

The Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee clearly points out that we should always uphold the ruling concept of “people first”. It is the inheritance and transcendence of the traditional Chinese people-oriented thought to carry on the ruling idea of “people first”;it is the inheritance and development of Marxist theory of practical anthropology. It is also the development of the “people-oriented” thought. From the perspective of practical logic, implementing “people first” will consolidate the ruling foundation of the CPC;Practicing “people first” will improve the ruling ability and national governance level of the CPC;Implementing the principle of “people first” will provide benefits for the people.
