Military Terms of the People’s Liberation Army of China:Compilation Process,Characteristics and Innovation

《中国人民解放军军语》编纂是伴随着人民军队的前进步伐而发展进步的,经历了萌芽时期、草创时期和发展时期。中华人民共和国成立以来,我军先后编纂了6版综合性军语。在编纂过程中,紧跟军队发展步伐、始终突出姓军为战、组织实施“联合作战”、打造我军优质科研品牌,形成了鲜明的时代特色、我军特色和实践特色。进入新时代,我军军语编纂工作需要准确把握军队建设发展的新形势,积极适应深化改革的新变化,探索创新新版《军语》的类目框架、收词内容、载体形式和编纂机制,奋力创造无愧于时代的新的编纂业绩。

Military Terms of the People’s Liberation Army of China(Military Terms)is a landmark achievement of the People’s Liberation Army(PLA)’s compilation of military terms.Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China,the PLA has compiled six editions of Military Terms.Since the 1980s,some scholars have approached the compilation of military terms from diff erent perspectives.This study reviews the compilation process,highlights some characteristics of the compilation,and calls for innovations in compilation.The compilation of the Military Terms has developed and progressed with the advance of the people’s armed forces and has experienced the embryonic period,the initial period,and the development period.The compilation process has followed the pace of military development,highlighted military characteristics,focused on warfi ghting,adopted an approach of“joint operations”,worked to build a high-quality scientific research brand,and formed distinctive characteristics of the times,the armed forces,and military practices.In a new era,the compilation of military terms needs to accurately grasp the new situation of military building and development,actively adapt to the new changes of deepening reform,make innovations in terms of the category,content,medium,and mechanism of the new edition,and strive for new achievements worthy of the times.
