In order to meet the requirements of“space-based Internet+”information services and all-time and all-weather remote sensing imaging applications, the first light and small Ku-band SAR(synthetic aperture radar)satellite in china is developed on the basis of inhering and developing the design concept of modern microsatellites. The SAR payload is mechanically connected with the platform through the load cabin, and both of them are independently developed and integrated. The scheme of"light paraboloid antenna+high-power TWT transmitter is adopted for the SAR payload. The radar beam control is realized by maneuvering the satellite side-swing.It can adopt the pulse system and operate it in Ku band.In addition to the microwave imaging function, the satellite has the capabilities of intersatellite communication,in-orbit mission planning, routing and data processing. After launched into orbit, the satellite can operate well in orbit and has stable imaging performance. It has played a great role in emergency response and disaster relief. The satellite has the characteristics of low cost, integration, intelligentization and networking, which can provide a solution for building a microsatellite constellation system with open interconnection, adaptive networking access and low-power miniaturization in the future.
