“大旨谈情”的《红楼梦》在问世之初便以爱情小说的面目示人。十九世纪末以来,中国学界对《红楼梦》主题的解读存在着爱情主题附庸化的现象。这种现象为《红楼梦》“非爱情小说论”的产生提供了温床。梳理此论的来龙去脉,不仅为反思二十世纪中国小说史学史的发展提供了一个独特的小说主题史视角,更为新时代重写文学史、小说史提供了先验性的学术史参考。

A Dream of Red Mansions,which talks about love roughly,was shown as a love novel at the beginning of its publication.Since the end of the 19th century,the interpretation of the theme of A Dream of Red Mansions in Chinese academia has been subpossed on the theme of love.This phenomenon provided a hotbed for the emergence of the non-love novel theory of A Dream of Red Mansions.Combing the ins and outs of this theory not only provides a unique perspective on the history of novel theme history for reflecting on the development of the historiography of Chinese novels in the 20th century,but also provides a priori academic historical reference for rewriting literary history and rewriting novel history in the new era.
