零台面石片作为一种独特的文化因素,对于研究古人类的石器加工技术和文化的区域性特征具有重要意义。零台面石片在贵州有着广泛的分布,深刻地影响了当地旧石器文化的发展。中国旧石器时代的零台面石片可能由不同的剥片技术制作而成。以锐棱砸击法制作的零台面石片在云贵高原及其边缘地带集中分布,这类石片很可能起源于黔西—黔西南地区,起源时间不晚于晚更新世中期,其在该地区的兴起是多种因素共同作用的结果。

As a unique cultural element,the null-platform flake holds great significance to study stone-tool techniques and regional characteristics of paleolithic cultures.Null-platform flakes are widely distributed in Guizhou Province and have a profound impact on the development of local paleolithic cultures.The null-platform flakes in Chinese Paleolithic might have been produced by different flaking techniques.The ridge-hammered bipolar null-platform flakes are concentrated on the Yungui Plateau and its peripheral regions.They might have originated from the west-southeast Guizhou region not later than the middle phase of the late Paleolithic period.The emergence of such flakes in the region was an outcome of multiple factors.
