Why “Art Self-discipline” is Possible: Research on “Art Self-discipline” as Category,Proposition and Concept

艺术自律是美学与艺术领域的经典话题,目前学界对其认知较含混,不能笼统地认为“艺术自律”是一个命题、范畴或观念,应将其限定在具体的范围内。把“艺术自律”整体上当作一个范畴,则要从整体上把握它的内涵与外延及其表现,从艺术的观念史中抓住“艺术”与“自律”凝结起来的节点,以此把握“艺术自律”这一范畴的变化;把“艺术自律”当作一种命题,则要循着美学学科、审美鉴赏与审美现代性的发展脉络,提炼出“艺术自律”作为美学命题时的发展理路及其自身复杂多变的特征;把“艺术自律”当作一种观念是在现代与后现代的时间中的一种主流声音,是形式观念与审美人生的两大主题的交相辉映,二者也构成了艺术自律观念的两大主题。揭示“艺术自律”从范畴到命题再到观念的内在逻辑,对“艺术自律”的研究而言是一种完善。

Artistic self-discipline is a classic topic in the field of aesthetics and art. At present, “artistic self-discipline” is not considered as a proposition, category or concept, and it should be limited to a specific scope. The “artistic self-discipline” should be studied as a whole on the connotation, extension, and the joint of “art” and “self-discipline” from the history of art concept, so as to grasp the change of the category of “artistic self-discipline”. The “art self-discipline” should be studied as a proposition from the perspective of the development aesthetic discipline, aesthetic appreciation and aesthetic modernity, so as to extract the development path of “art self-discipline” as an aesthetic proposition and its own complex and changeable characteristics. The “artistic self-discipline” should be studied as a concept, which is a mainstream in the modern and post-modern times. It is a reflection of formal concept and aesthetic life, which also constitute the two themes of artistic self-discipline concept. The proposal of category, proposition and concept improves the study of “art self-discipline”.
