摘要
自2007年开设翻译硕士专业(MTI)以来,中国翻译教育取得了快速进步,但是许多大学的MTI缺乏特色,这一问题严重阻碍了翻译教育的进一步发展。MTI特色建设往往需要传承和借鉴所在高校特色外语教育的建设经验。因此,本文采用教育史视角,以中国政法大学1979-2021年法律英语翻译教育为案例,通过追溯其法律英语课程时期的特色建设、深描其法律翻译教育的特色建设,揭示该校法律翻译特色建设基于过去40多年的历史经验,呈现以下发展逻辑:以服务国家需求为根本动力;以更新复合型人才培养理念为内在机制;以构建多维共同体为资源;以培养复合型教师为保障。本文通过借鉴历史经验来关注当下问题,为MTI教育特色研究提供了有针对性的视角和研究方法,也为其他院校MTI的特色建设指出了有效路径。
Translation education in China has made rapid progress since the establishment of Master of Translation and Interpreting(MTI)in 2007.However,the fact that MTI programs in many universities lack field specialization has hindered their further development.This paper focuses on how China University of Political Science and Law developed its legal-oriented English and translation education from 1979 to 2021,and finds that the underlying logic of such a development has been driven primarily by serving the national needs by means of the establishment of inter-disciplinary courses(with inter-disciplinary teachers as a precondition)and of creating a multi-dimensional community.This paper expands the field’s research focus from current problem description to finding solutions from historical experience and introduces a new research method,which could have important implications for other MTI programs wishing to introduce specialization.
