小畑薰良《将进酒》英译本中的文化意象流失

The Loss of Cultural Images in Obata’s English Translation of Going to Drink

摘要 汉语尚象,中国古典诗词中的文化意象堪为诗歌之魂。然而,译者在翻译过程中因受制于语言文化的差异,常会造成文化意象的流失,从而影响到对原作品准确的诠释。尽管小畑薰良《将进酒》的英译本被视为经典,但细读也会发现其中不乏文化意象的流失现象。本文在解读原诗意象基础上,具体分析小畑薰良英译本中“天”“物”“人”等多重意象流失,并给出相应的意象重建建议,以期有助于李白诗歌在海外的有效传播与接受。 The cultural image in Chinese classical poetry can be regarded as the soul of poetry.However,in the process of translation,translators are subject to language and cultural differences,which often leads to the loss of cultural images,and impacts the accurate interpretation of the original works.Although the English translation of Going to Drink by Obata is regarded as a classic,close reading will also find that there is no lack of loss of cultural images.Based on the interpretation of the images in the original poem,this paper analyzes the loss of multiple images such as“God”,“thing”and“human”in Obata’s translation,and gives corresponding suggestions on image reconstruction,it is expected to contribute to the effective dissemination and acceptance of Li Bai’s poetry abroad.
