长句只是语表形式的一种体现,本质上是为语义服务的,由印欧语言译入汉语,总体上如何化长为短,值得反思;汉译组构的这一矛盾可以通过截长为短、折散重组、化整为零、破解多项定语、外位结构运用、全句变成状语、添加标点符号等手段化解。

Long sentences are only one kind of linguistic forms,which in essence serves semantics.It is worthy of reflection on how to turn long sentences into short sentences on a whole when translating from Indo-European languages into Chinese;This contradiction in the process of structuring Chinese translation can be resolved via cutting long sentences into short sentences,taking sentences into pieces and recombining,breaking up the whole into parts,breaking multiple attributives,using separate structure,turning the whole sentence into adverbial,adding punctuation and so on.
