从目的论看林译村上春树《象的失踪》

An analysis of Lin Shaohua’s Version of Elephant Vanishes from the Perspective of Skopos Theory

关于林译村上春树作品,学界有很多争议。本文不对林少华与其他译者做比对分析,而是从翻译目的论理论出发对林译《象的失踪》进行译文分析。通过译文分析可知:林少华对原文的加工基本符合“目的性”与“连贯性”要求,但译文中确实具有与“忠实性”相悖的部分。其中既有使语言更流畅的再创造,也有不必要的书面文体化。在会话中加入成语或四字熟语,既不符合村上春树口语体的文字风格,也不符合意境的塑造与语境的要求。

There are many controversies about Lin Shaohua in translating Haruki Murakami’s works.This article doesn’t aim to contrast Lin Shaohua with other translators,but to analyze his version of Elephant Vanishes from the perspective of skopos theory.From the analysis,we find that Lin’s version meets the rules of purpose and coherence,but it doesn’t meet the requirements of fidelity quite well.Lin’s recreation makes the language more fluent,and the writing style more formal.The use of idioms or colloquialisms in conversations does not conform to the style of Haruki Murakami,nor to the mood moulding and the linguistic context.
