李葂为季苇萧原型考

A Textual Research on the Prototype of Li Mian as Ji Weixiao

金和在《儒林外史跋》中揭示了《儒林外史》中大部分主要人物角色的本事,但季苇萧的人物本事未涉及。清代徐允临提出李葂应为季苇萧人物本事,后学者有不同的意见。通过吴敬梓把李葂写入《儒林外史》的可能性,李葂和季苇萧之间的姓名、籍贯、寓居、游历、婚姻、喜好、名望和才情的契合关系,论证李葂确为季苇萧原型。研究补充了史料记载的缺失,为皖江人物研究提供了新资料,也丰富了季苇萧人物形象和《儒林外史》人物塑造手法的研究。

In the Qing Dynasty,Jin He revealed the abilities of most of the main characters in the book,but Ji Weixiao’s characters were not involved.Xu Yunlin of the Qing Dynasty proposed that Li Mian should be the character of Ji Wei Xiao.Li Hanqiu,He Zehan and others used this theory in their research,but did not demonstrate it.Through Wu Jingzi’s possibility of writing Li Mian into The Scholars,and the correspondence between Li Mian and Ji Weixiao in terms of name,native place,residence,travel,marriage,preferences,fame and talent,it is proved that Li Mian is indeed the prototype of Ji Weixiao.The research complements the lack of historical records,provides new materials for the study of Wanjiang characters,and also enriches the study of Ji Wei xiao’s character image and the characterization techniques in The Scholars.
