Research on Narrative Discourse of Chinese Online Novels in Overseas Communication From the Perspective of“Tell China’s Stories”

习近平总书记在对最新国际舆论形势进行准确判断的基础上,提出要“努力塑造可信、可爱、可敬的中国形象”的新要求。中国网络小说在海外不断“圈粉”,取得较好的传播效果,未来有望发展成比肩好莱坞电影、日本动漫和韩国偶像剧的世界级流行文化。中国网络小说在东南亚、欧美、非洲等不同文化区的传播效果有明显区别,其海外传播的重点和难点区域是欧美地区。中国网络小说应该把握住全人类追求纯真、善良、美好的共同精神需要,从叙事时空、叙事主题、叙事距离、作者与读者的对话等方面优化叙事话语,更好地讲述中国故事,展示真实、立体、全面的中国。

On the basis of an accurate evaluation of the latest international public opinions,President Xi Jinping puts forward the new requirements of“striving to create a credible,lovely and respectable image of China”.Chinese online novels are attracting fans overseas and gain good communication results.In the future,it is expected to develop into the world-class pop culture like Hollywood films,Japanese animations and South Korean idol dramas.The communication effect of Chinese online novels is obviously different in various cultural areas such as Southeast Asia,Europe,America and Africa.The key and difficult areas are Europe and America.Chinese online authors should stick to the common spiritual needs of all mankind in pursuit of innocence,kindness and beauty,optimize the narrative discourse in terms of narrative space,narrative theme,narrative distance,and dialogue between authors and readers,tell China’s stories better,and show real,vivid and all-round images of China.
