In traditional anthropocentrism, humans are dominant and animals are regarded as“the other”.In modern and contemporary literary works, the dialogue between human beings and nature has undergone a process of breaking down and reconstruction.Ted Hughes, the contemporary British poet, expounds the role of the animal discourse in the construction of human beings'identity in the Anthropocene by his animal writing through his literary imagination. With the animal turn in the fourfold vision and the community imagination divinely inspired by animals,Hughes makes metaphysical as well as philosophical reflections upon the coexistence between human beings and nature.Hughes examines the conflicts of ecological ethics in the development of human society from a more comprehensive perspective, and tries to bridge the gap between man and animals,to achieve the harmony and integration between man and nature. These poetic reflections embody his unique aesthetic and ethical approach to poetry and ecology.
