“五四”前后中日新文化界的合作交流

Cooperations and Exchanges between Chinese and Japanese New Cultural Circles Around the “May Fourth” Period

“五四”运动前后,中日新文化界曾经有过一段密切互动的合作交流时期,其标志性事件是1920年5月5日至6月5日,由北京大学五名学生组成的北大赴日考察团,在日本进行为期一个月的考察交流活动。这是中日两国新文化界仅有的一次规格较高也比较正式的团体交流。在考察团背后存在着一个由教授学者和行政主管所组成的既要为北京大学负责也要为整个新文化界负责的筹款督导团队。这次考察,不仅拓宽了时人的文化视野,增进了两国新文化界的亲善理解,还为相关人等的后续发展提供了契机。

Around the May Fourth movement in 1919,there have been some cooperations and exchanges between Chinese and Japanese new cultural circles.The landmark event was student delegation of Peking University visit Japan composed of Xu Yanzhi,Meng Shouchun,Kang Baiqing,Fang Hao and Huang Rikui,from May 5 to June 5,1920.Yoshino Sakuzo,the professor at Tokyo Imperial University was the initiator of this investigation and exchange in Japan.Behind the delegation,there was a fund-raising supervision team composed of professors and administrators who were responsible for both Peking University and the whole new cultural community.Hu Shi,Cai Yuanpei,Jiang Menglin,Li Dazhao,Chen Xingnong and some others were all responsible members of this fund-raising supervision team.
