British writer Doris Lessing's autobiographical works Under My Skin and Walking in the Shade are the most important texts for studying the writer's life and thoughts.Trauma is an important perspective for studying her autobiography.In terms of family trauma,the ineffective family education caused unhealable trauma to Lessing in her childhood,which turned Lessing from the victim to the perpetrator of family trauma when she grew up.From the perspective of cultural trauma,she was not accepted by the African continent because of her identity as a white intruder.After returning to London,she was incompatible with mainstream British society because of her leftist thinking,which turned Lessing into a cultural wanderer on the edge of the black and white worlds.From the perspective of trauma therapy,Lessing treated the physical and mental trauma she suffered through literary creation,and achieved self-reconstruction.The excellent trauma writing makes Lessing's autobiography a typical sample for studying psychoanalysis,postcolonial theory and literary creation theory.
