Rich natural resources of Guizhou provide a natural home for ancient mankind,who lived and flourished here as early as 300,000 years ago,and since then,people of all ethnic groups have created a long and rich history and culture here,preserving the originality and integrity of cultural remains in many places.The archaeology of the Old Period,the Neolithic,the Shang and Zhou Dynasties,the Warring States,the Qin and Han Dynasties,the Wei,Jin,North and South Dynasties,the Tang Dynasty,the Song,Yuan,Ming and Qing Dynasties,and the archaeology of the Tusi,the ethnic groups,the rock paintings and the metallurgy of Guizhou have produced fruitful results.The historical remains of each period have built up a chronological framework of Guizhou's history and vividly demonstrated the historical process of Guizhou.
