时空政治学与“弃民”再生产——胡淑雯的《浮血猫》研读

The Politics of Time and Space and the Reproduction of the Abandoned People: A Reading into Hu Su-wen’s A Cat Floating in Blood

中国台湾作家胡淑雯的《浮血猫》可称为其最负盛名的代表作之一。小说在聚焦女性童年性经验的同时,也无意中呈现出台湾1970年代以后的社会图景,而后者往往为讨论者所忽视。空间与时间在小说中不仅作为背景设定,并且其构成的时空政治自身内含着社会底层“弃民”的生产机制。小说中频繁出现的社会再生产话语,既在文本修辞的层面产生反讽的美学效果,也暗示其自身即可构成“弃民”的再生产机制。在以政治经济学展开的社会总体视野中,作者试图以“情感理解”穿透固化的性别意识形态,却显示出社会伦理与两性关系的辩证张力,也在无意中触及社会整体性的平等政治问题。通过充分打开小说的社会与历史面向,有助于揭示文本所内蕴的社会文化语境和政治经济结构,同时导向战后东亚历史之于全球资本主义体系的认识论反思,从而对《浮血猫》深蕴的历史与形式意义给予更为历史化的理解。

A Cat Floating in Blood, by Hu Su-wen, a writer from Taiwan, China, is one of the most famous representative novels of hers. In focusing on the sexual experience of women in their childhood, the novel, incidentally, reveals the social picture of the post-1970s Taiwan, which is often ignored by the people who discuss the novel. In it, space and time are not only set as the background but the politics itself, formed of the space and time,contains the production mechanism of the abandoned people at the bottom of the society. The social reproduction discourse that keeps appearing frequently in the novel not only produces an ironical aesthetic effect on the rhetorical level of the text but it also implies that it itself can make up the mechanism of reproduction of the abandoned people. In the total social perspective unfolded with the political economics, the author attempts to penetrate the sexual ideology with emotional understanding but manages to show up the dialectical tension between social ethics and sexual relationship, incidentally touching upon the issue of equalitarian politics across the society as a whole. By fully opening up the novel towards society and history, it is helpful to reveal the socio-cultural context and the politico-economical structure as contained in the text while, at the same time, leading to an epistemological re-think on the global capitalist system in relation to post-war East-Asian history, thus giving a more historicised understanding of the significance of history and form implicit in A Cat Floating in Blood.
