High-quality development of manufacturing industry is an important force for high-quality economic development in China.In order to realize the Chinese industrial chain to climb to the top of the world,it is necessary for manufacturing enterprises to improve the ability of independent innovation and the ability of research and development(R&D).The high external financing cost of innovation activities is the main reason to discourage manufacturing enterprises from innovation and R&D.It is of great importance to support technological innovation of manufacturing enterprises through finance.This paper discusses the problems faced in the process of high-quality development of Chinese manufacturing industry and analyzes the role of finance in promoting Japan’s development of manufacturing.The analysis of the case of Japan reveals the important role of finance in strengthening the manufacturing industry,and it is the only way for the high-quality economic development of China to enable innovation in manufacturing through finance.Therefore,we need to constantly perfect the construction of the financial system and create a good environment for enterprise innovation.On the one hand,we should focus on developing multi-level capital market and broaden direct financing channels.On the other hand,the path of the banking system to drive enterprise innovation is still important.The banking system should continue to give play to the advantages of scale effect to help enterprises break through the technological frontier and thus achieve high-quality development of manufacturing industry.
